La mejor mamá chilena y otras cosas :)

Title in English: The best Chilean mom and other things :)

Holaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I'm still in Chile! Wow! How cool :) It's so strange when it's so difficult to write or say or think in English! Today I had difficulty remembering the word "crock pot" haha. Ok..sooo about Monday and Tuesday..

Monday, poor Rachel got sick :( She had a fever, but luckily we have an awesome mom that used to be a nurse, and she took REAL good care of her! I ended up going to the centro to get some more gifts and went to Dimango to celebrate Rae's b-day with Rae and Rachel's primas and with the other Katie. I ate this AMAAAAZING chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream!!! ¡Qué rico! And we got to see my favorite waiters again! :) After that, we went to one of the primas homes to see all of the primos one last time. We ate completos (I can't wait to make these when I get home!!!!!), and just mingled and took photos also. It was so good to see everyone :)

Tuesday, I studied for my very last test and chilled in Chile because it was my last day that I had nothing to do. And Rachel and I had one of our most favorite dinners ever!!! First off, our mom experienced PB&J for the first time! And she LOVED IT! They don't use peanut butter here that often, and I asked about that, and all of a sudden our mom brought out about 5 jars of peanut butter! :) She had them because a foreign exchange student from last year made PB cookies, and our mom was going to make a lot of them after she knew how good they were..but she never got to it haha. One thing we learned is that they do NOT have jelly made out of grapes here! Weird! I had a hard time believing this because wine is SUPER popular here...I guess they use all of their grapes for that maybe? But they have jelly made out of every other kind of thing you could think of--even tomatoes! haha Also, a great moment was she was trying to explain something that tastes really yummy, and she said "Chancho", well Rachel and I had nooo idea what type of animal this was, and all of a sudden she does this face that looks like a pig :) Cutest and funniest thing I have ever seen! She's adorable! We all laughed for the longest time, and I even had tears coming down my face :) I'm going to miss our mom sooooo much!

That's all for now people! See you all soon! Chau chau!

Abrazo y besitos,

Katie~
